The brief

Fieldnotes Quarterly came to Kern with a clear ambition and a crowded market. They needed a brand that felt considered at first glance and still held up after the hundredth.

The idea

We reduced everything to a few decisions and made each one count. A quarterly print magazine on a strict twelve-column grid, with room for one loud spread per issue.

The result

A complete editorial design system delivered with guidelines the team actually uses. Launched in 2023.
